It's Double Vision on American Gladiators

Tonight on American Gladiators, a set of almost identical twins, Clinessa and Lillian battled and on the men's side it was the doc, Adam, going up against the dancer, Mike. This was another hour show, and we were fast forwarded through two events each once again. A new Gladiator was introduced, Hurricane. He was an Olympic javelin thrower.

The women were the high scorers tonight. They started off by earning 12 points each in Hit and Run. Then they scored on Jet and Venom in Rocketball and on Jet and Siren on the Wall. Jet really didn't have a good night. She had Lillian early on the Wall and just fell off. The twins were shut out in the Pyramid by Crush and Steel, which we didn't get to see, and were also shut out on SkyTrack, which we didn't get to see. Guess I'll have to go to the website tomorrow to see those events.

The guys didn't do too badly. They were shut out on the Pyramid by Toa and Titan, and the doc was able to earn 5 points in the Tilt by hanging on against Hurricane. Mike, on the other hand, was dispatched in about four seconds. Mike was also shut out in Earthquake versus Wolf, but Adam, the doc, was able to pull Wolf off with him when he flew off to earn 10 points. The men's events that we didn't see were Hit and Run, where Mike earned 12 points, and Adam, 0 points, and the Wall, where they were both shut out. Adam should have had 10 points in the Wall, but fell off right at the very top. Those ten points ended up being very important.

The last event for both the men and women was the new game called Snap Back. That was wild. The contestants were attached to a bungee cord, with Gladiators holding the other end. They had to attempt to get to the end of a runway and hit the button. All along the way were scoring zones, so they were able to earn points without hitting the button. If they were to hit the button, the Gladiator would go flying, similar to the Assault without the water. The twins went against Hellga and Crush. Lillian earned 8 points and Clinessa earned 4 points. The guys went against Justice and Titan. Adam earned 8 points and Mike, 4.

Then it was Eliminator time. Clinessa had a 1 second head start on her sister. They were neck and neck up the cargo net before Lillian took the lead at the rope swing. Clinessa caught up at the Travelator, but Lillian was able to pull it out in 3:08, good for third place on the Leaderboard.

The men had the most exciting Eliminator that I've seen. They were both excellent! Adam had a 3.5 second head start, but Mike made up most of it at the cargo net. They ran a close race, with Mike pulling away a bit at the hand bike. The Travelator equalized them, but Mike pulled it out in a time of 1:58, the fastest time yet. What was sad was that Adam was only about 2 seconds behind him. Any other heat and he'd have won. Had he stayed on the wall, those ten points, or five seconds would have won him this heat. He had the second fastest Eliminator time so far, and he was eliminated from the competition.

Next week on American Gladiators, two married couples compete, we get another new event, and this time a winner will also go home. That's right, next week will be the seventh set of preliminaries and there are only six spots on the Leaderboard. Catch y'all then.
