American Gladiators Hosts A Battle of Ages

Tonight on American Gladiators, the women contenders scanned the age bracket. There was 20 year old Annie versus 52 year old Yoko. The men contenders were Alejandro, a dolphin trainer versus Tim, a camp counselor.

Yoko was inspiring. That little lady was all heart. Her parents in the audience were just so cute. Yoko took a lickin' though. Crush threw her down that Pyramid countless times and she would just pop back up. She didn't score until the fourth event, Hang Tough. She got five points in that event, four points in Snapback, and one point in Sideswipe.

Annie didn't do too much better. In fact, she scored in one less event than Yoko. She scored ten points by scaling the Wall faster than Phoenix and also scored one point in Sideswipe.

On the men's side, they both scored on the Pyramid, Alejandro flew up the Wall for ten more points and he scored four more points in Snapback. Justice shut them out in Tilt and Tim outscored Alejandro six to two in Sideswipe. On a sidebar, that Hurricane has a sexy voice, whew ...

Anyway, in the Eliminator, Annie had a half second head start, but immediately took control and increased that lead. She did very well and finished in 3:00, good for 4th place on the Leaderboard and knocking Vanessa off. Poor Yoko fell off the handbike and got lost in the balls. She was totally gassed at the pyramid, but she finished the course. I was in awe of her.

For the men, Alejandro had a 2.5 second head start, but lost that almost immediately. In fact, Tim had the lead at the cargo net. Tim ran a great race. He flew through the course in 1:24, a new Eliminator course record and good for 1st place on the Leaderboard. That knocks Landon off and sends him home in addition to Alejandro.

Next week is the final preliminary heat on American Gladiators and Brick and Abbie are on the bubble. Will their Eliminator times hold up, or will they be bumped? Brick has a decent time of 2:10, but is that good enough? We'll see next week.
